Curriculum Structure and organisation
Allocated Time and Timetabling
Class room time allocated to the teaching and learning of religion is a minimum of 2.5 hours per week dedicated to delivering the religion curriculum from Prep to Year 12. This does not include time for prayer or liturgy but is specifically dedicated to classroom learning and teaching of religion.
Scope and Sequence Chart P-12 for the Learning of Teaching of Religion.
The scope and sequence chart should be used by all teachers, learning support staff, and librarians to plan within and between year levels so that student learning can be situated and built on to equip them for where they are heading. It must be remembered that the P-12 scope and sequence chart is a living document and collaborative planning must occur each term to ensure that the units of work remain contemporary and relevant to the learning context. Changes should be recorded and communicated within learning teams and to the APREs so that the curriculum content is covered and the Achievement Standard accessible.
